As a Senior Vice President of SOS Security, LLC, Bob Larkin brings more than 35 years of retail loss prevention experience to assist clients. He has specialized in internal investigations, security officer integrity shopping, undercover operations, dishonest employee interviewing and retail loss prevention consulting.

Prior to being employed at SOS, Mr. Larkin was the owner and CEO of Asset Protection Associates, Inc. located in Atlanta, GA. APA was acquired by SOS in July, 2014.

Mr. Larkin began his career at Macy’s where he worked in both security and operational management positions for many years. Mr. Larkin then began his own business specializing in assisting retailers with shrink management and proactive solutions to increase their sales profitability.

He has gained diverse experience by working with traditional department stores, specialty retail chains, food services, and retail liquidation and in distribution and warehouse environments. Mr. Larkin consults on loss prevention issues for retailers to include large scale organized retail crime, royalty assurance and profit maximization for retailers with franchised based operations and security officer standards.

Mr. Larkin’s professional experience and extensive expertise in the loss prevention field is the result of working as a security practitioner with retailers such as Macy’s, The Home Depot, Coach, Sprint, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bealls, 7-Eleven Corporation, Mayors Jewelers and many others.

In 1996, Mr. Larkin was selected to consult for the retail operations at the Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta. His expertise was utilized for forecasting physical security needs such as locking hardware, lighting, CCTV requirements, etc. He assisted with crowd control management, crisis response planning, and liaison with law enforcement on safety and terrorism-related incidents and training the security staff on emergency preparedness.
